Plastic pallets, typically made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), are known for their high load capacity and exceptional resistance to shock, moisture, and corrosion. Because of their long lifespan and ability to be washed easily, they are widely used in industries where hygiene is crucial, such as food and pharmaceuticals. Although they are not easily repaired once damaged, plastic pallets can be recycled and remoulded, making them a sustainable option over time. 

Aluminium and steel pallets are favored for heavy-duty use, particularly in industries that require long-term outdoor storage or transport of heavy goods. These pallets are extremely durable and offer excellent resistance to harsh weather. Their smooth surfaces make them easy to clean, which is beneficial in environments requiring high sanitation standards. However, metal pallets are heavier and more costly than other types.
